This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your electrical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards your apprenticeship qualification.\nWorking alongside experienced electricians and engineers, you’ll learn on the job while supporting the installation and maintenance of traffic signal systems across the Dublin region.\n Apprentice Electrician\nLocation: Dublin, Ireland\nWe’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, practical and keen to learn, with an interest in developing a career in electrical engineering.\nWhat you will do\nWork alongside and learn from experienced electricians to install, maintain and repair traffic signal equipment across the Dublin region.\n\nDevelop your practical electrical skills through hands-on experience and formal apprenticeship training.\n\nWork safely and effectively under the guidance of senior electricians, supervisors and managers.\n\nComplete timesheets, job numbers and vehicle mileage records accurately.\n\nAttend and actively participate in apprenticeship classes, workshops, toolbox talks and on-the-job training.\n\nLearn and follow SWARCO’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and best practices.\n\nHelp ensure company vehicles, tools, equipment and PPE are kept safe, clean and in good working order.\n\nWork as part of a team while developing the confidence to take responsibility for your own work as your skills and experience grow.\n\nYou’ll ideally have:\nJunior Certificate / Leaving Certificate or equivalent.\n\nAn interest in electrical work and technology.\n\nA willingness to learn, develop new skills and take on new challenges.\n\nGood problem-solving skills and a practical approach.\n\nThe ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\n\nGood organisational skills and attention to detail.\n\nA trustworthy and adaptable approach to work.\n\nGood safety awareness and a willingness to follow safe working practices.\n\nThe ability to work at height where required.\n\nA full driving licence.\n\nA valid SOLAS Safe Pass.\n\nManual Handling certification.\n\nDesirable:\nBasic electrical knowledge or practical experience.\n\nBasic IT skills.\n\n If you’re looking to start your career in electrical engineering and want the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while gaining practical, hands-on experience, we’d love to hear from you.\nApplications are shortlisted on a rolling basis, and we reserve the right to interview and appoint before any advertised closing date.
