The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.\nThe team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.\nOur aircraft are built fast, and every prototype starts on the shop floor. We need an A&P mechanic who wants to build aircraft, not just service them, working side by side with our structures, propulsion, electrical, and autonomy engineers to turn designs into real hardware while the design is still taking shape.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild, assemble, and integrate prototype unmanned aircraft from drawings and work instructions that are still evolving\n\nFabricate and install systems including fuel and oil plumbing, landing gear, flight controls, avionics, and electrical\n\nFabricate and repair composites (wet layup, prepreg, honeycomb, bonded structure)\n\nWork side by side with engineering to troubleshoot issues, root-cause problems, and feed shop-floor knowledge back into the design\n\nSupport ground and flight test, including pre- and post-flight inspections and vehicle mods\n\nKeep build records and configuration docs, and help write procedures as we move toward production\n\nTrain and mentor junior technicians, and help set up the facility\n\nTravel to flight test and field sites as needed\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nFAA A&P certificate\n\n7+ years of hands-on experience across multiple aircraft types, systems, and structures\n\nExperience building or modifying aircraft, not just maintaining them\n\nComposite fabrication and repair experience\n\nExperience fabricating tubing, hoses, and metallic structures\n\nComfortable with changing drawings and willing to speak up when something looks off\n\nAble to lift 50 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, and travel to support flight campaigns\n\nCandidates for this position must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)\n\nNice to Have\nPrototype, experimental, or R&D aircraft experience\n\nGround and flight test support\n\nBuild documentation and configuration management on developmental programs\n\nActive security clearance\n\nITAR requirement\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nSwarm Aero is an equal opportunity employer.
