# Restoration Engineer

About the opportunity SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Project Restoration Engineer with a passion for ecosystem restoration and water resource engineering We are looking for an Engineer who can contribute to the growth of our ecological restoration practices throughout the Great Lakes as well as support SWCA’s ecological restoration projects throughout the entire U.S. The ideal candidate will have experience/background in stream, wetland, and coastal/living shoreline design projects, and should have strong experience in applied hydraulics, hydrology, and geomorphology and as well as a working knowledge AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/hydraulic modeling. Responsibilities will include occasional travel to project sites for field assessments, data collection, and client meetings. This is a full-time, regular (benefits-eligible), salaried/exempt position reporting to our Lombard, Illinois office. This role is eligible for either a hybrid or distributed (=remote) work arrangement.
