This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.\nResponsibilities:\nFinancial Performance:\nDevelop and implement annual business plans and budgets.\nMonitor and analyze financial performance, including sales & service, profit margins, and expenses.\nImplement cost-saving measures and strategies to improve profitability.\nSales Operations:\nSet and achieve sales goals for new and used vehicles.\nOversee the sales team, providing training, coaching, and motivation.\nManage inventory levels to optimize sales and minimize costs.\nCustomer Service:\nEnsure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales and service process.\nResolve customer complaints and address issues promptly.\nImplement customer loyalty programs and initiatives.\nHuman Management:\nDevelop and maintain a positive work environment.\nManage employee performance and address disciplinary issues.\nRecruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.\nCompliance:\nEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.\nMaintain accurate records and documentation.\nManage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.\nMarketing and Branding:\nIn conjunction with the marketing team, develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers.\nQualifications:\nDemonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.\nBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.\n5+ years of experience as a General Sales Manager or 3+ years as a General Manager at a franchise dealership with a track record of success.\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and negotiation abilities.\nStrong financial acumen and analytical skills.\nKnowledge of automotive industry trends and best practices.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nOutgoing, and positive attitude\nCertifications in automotive management or sales a plus.\nPhysical Requirements\nSitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.\nStanding and Walking: There may be times when the general manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.\nReaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.\nLifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.\nBenefits of Working at Swickard:\nCareer Path - Swickard isn’t just a J-O-B.
