Swift now has a presence in 200+ countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions.\nSenior Test Automation Engineer \nWhat to Expect\nRole Summary\nAs a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and security of SWIFT's financial technology platforms. You will drive automation strategy, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot application issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain test specifications/test cases/ sets of regression tests, for new hardware component/software release of applications in an accurate and timely manner.\nAutomate new and existing test scripts using Java, and Robot framework.\nAnalyze technical and functional requirements and translate them into software solutions.\nUnderstand dependencies toward other systems and teams.\nPrepare installation and operating procedures.\nProvide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by other team members.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation.\nSupporting the delivered software and being part of a 'Center of Expertise' problem solving team.\nAnalyze support cases and, when appropriate, provide solutions following the established case management processes.\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend applications.\nDevelop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and programming languages including Java, Python, or C#.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to define test strategies, test cases, and automation opportunities.\nAnalyse test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.\nPerform root cause analysis for application defects, test failures, and production issues.\nTroubleshoot application and UI issues in Linux environments by analyzing logs, server configurations, application traces, and monitoring data.\nInvestigate and diagnose network, connectivity, SSL/TLS certificate, authentication, and infrastructure-related issues impacting application functionality.\nUse Linux diagnostic tools and commands to analyze logs, monitor system behavior, validate certificates, and identify root causes of failures.\nSupport API, integration, and end-to-end testing across distributed systems and microservices architectures.\nContribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, quality metrics, and engineering best practices.\nStay current with emerging testing technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve test coverage and efficiency.\nWhat will make you successful\nWe are seeking professionals with:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.\nProven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up.\nStrong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.\nHands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation frameworks.\nStrong knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies such as Postman and Rest Assured.\nExperience integrating automated testing within CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.\nStrong Linux troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, certificate validation, network diagnostics, and application debugging.\nExperience using Linux tools such as grep, awk, sed, tail, curl, netstat, tcpdump, openssl, and related utilities.\nSolid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Quality Engineering practices.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.\nKnowledge of security testing and secure development practices.\nExperience with cloud platforms, cont\nExperience in the financial services, banking, payments, or fintech industry.\nainer technologies, and DevOps practices.\nThe estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $101,303.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $140,000.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
