This 6-month internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery while contributing to a business-critical application used by financial institutions worldwide.\nResponsibilities\nWork as part of a cross-functional Scrum team alongside experienced developers, testers, product managers, and technical leads.\nAssist in the development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of software components within the STS product.\nLearn and contribute to Java-based application development under the guidance of senior engineers.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.\nSupport the implementation of software features and bug fixes based on user stories and technical requirements.\nAssist in writing and maintaining automated tests to improve software quality and reliability.\nLearn software engineering best practices, including code reviews, version control, testing, and documentation.\nGain exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps tooling.\nSupport troubleshooting and analysis of issues in development and test environments.\nCollaborate with team members across Malaysia and Europe in a multicultural environment.\nParticipate in technical discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and design walkthroughs.\nContribute ideas for process improvements and continuously develop your technical skills throughout the internship.\nEducation\nRequired\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\nBasic knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented programming concepts.\nUnderstanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nEagerness to learn new technologies and work in a collaborative environment.\nFluent in English (spoken and written).\nNice to Have\nExposure to Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.\nFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit.\nBasic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, or REST APIs.\nExposure to Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.\nBasic understanding of cloud computing concepts, containers (Docker), or CI/CD practices.\nExperience with university projects involving software development.\nInterest in automation, scripting, or DevOps practices.\nInterest in financial technology and payment systems.\nExperience\nNo prior professional experience required.\nRelevant academic projects, coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions will be considered an advantage.\nWhat we offer\nWe give you the freedom to be yourself.
