If incumbent has acquired and maintains CDL Examiner certification issued by State, may administer exams as needed.\nTrain student drivers on performing safety inspections relating to potential truck/trailer issues.\nInstruct functional driving skills such as performing turns, curves, backing, etc.\nEvaluate designated student drivers on a daily basis to determine when they are ready to progress from the range to the road.\nEnsure student drivers know how to perform well when driving on upgrades and downgrades including starting and stopping activities and they possess a basic knowledge when dealing with situations such as intersections, urban/rural sections, expressways, bridge underpasses, etc.\nEffectively and efficiently resolve student issues.\nProactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.\nCopy and paste URL into browser to view full description: https://knxtrans.jdxpert.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&id=2383\nQualifications: What you need to bring\n2+ years OTR experience required unless state law requires additional years of experience.\nPrevious experience as a third party tester or a CVTA Master Level Instructor preferred.\nMust qualify as a Class A CDL driver by meeting all company hiring requirements.\nMust have appropriate state certification as a CDL Examiner if tasked with administering exams.\nMust be able to work in all types of weather conditions.\nMust be able to handle changing priorities.\nMust possess exceptional communication skills.\nMust be self-motivated.\nMust engage in on going education relating to teaching skills as part of faculty improvement to maintain post-secondary education requirements of the state in which the Academy is licensed.\nMust maintain Professional Truck driver Institute (PTDI) and Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA) standards and complete a minimum of two American Association for Vocational School modules annually.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociates preferred.\nAs required, must be able to obtain additional endorsements within 90 days of notification.\nWhat we offer:\nOur Benefits Package includes 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Supplemental and Life Insurance as well as pet insurance.
