At Swingtech, we’re committed to excellence and long-term success for our clients and our team.\nLocation: Remote (with occasional travel to Baltimore, MD and Greenbelt, MD)\nSwingtech Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Editor to review and enhance technical training materials for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and instructional effectiveness. The role will collaborate with instructional designers, technical writers, graphic artists, and other team members to deliver high-quality, audience-appropriate training products.\nResponsibilities:\nThe candidate must have excellent communications & editing abilities and the ability to multitask while working under tight deadlines. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to coordinate with a training development team to produce clear and concise documents appropriate for the intended audience. The candidate will be required to present sample editing products.\nPerform editorial reviews of training materials, including storyboards, online lessons, assessments, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established editorial standards and instructional efficacy.\nCoordinate with a team of instructional designers, graphic artists, programmers, multimedia specialists, technical writers, and documentation specialists to create both paper- and web-based training products.\nEnsuring technical training meets instructional objectives and is written to a level appropriate to the target audience.\nPerforming quality assurance reviews of deliverables materials for grammar, style, content, format, consistency, organization, and instructional efficacy. This may include developmental editing of work submitted by other team members. \nQualifications and Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in English or related field, or combination of education and experience.\nAt least four years of direct experience.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office Suite.\nAbility to adhere to different style guides (i.e., GPO, MLA, APA, etc.).\nAbility to work within a team in a deadline-driven environment.\nKnowledge of Section 508 requirements.\nExperience editing for the healthcare or medical field a plus.\nExperience with using artificial intelligence
