Learn more at swisher.com.\nThe Material Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of employees to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. The Material Handling Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, meeting production schedules, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a 2nd shift position with the hours of 3:00-11:30pm, Mon-Fri.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee the receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of materials and finished products\nSupervise, train, and evaluate a team of material handlers and warehouse associates\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to prevent shortages\nEnsure accurate cycle counting and inventory reconciliation procedures\nCoordinate with other production supervisors to prioritize material movement based on production schedules\nGenerate and analyze reports on inventory accuracy, productivity, and key performance indicators\nInteract collaboratively with production, quality, purchasing, and shipping departments\nCommunicate material shortages or quality issues to appropriate stakeholders\nSchedule work assignments and monitor productivity to meet operational goals\nUtilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems for inventory transactions\nEnsure proper use of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems\nOversee the proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable\nResponsible for enforcing all safety protocols and OSHA regulations\nAll other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3-5 years of warehouse/material handling experience\n2+ years experience serving in a leadership role\nExperience with material handling equipment and warehouse management systems\nKnowledge of inventory management principles and lean manufacturing concepts\nStrong leadership and communication skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAssociate's degree\n3+ years of direct leadership experience within the consumer packaged goods industry\nForklift certification and other equipment certifications\nExperience with specific WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)\nPrevious experience in a union manufacturing environment\nWhat we offer\nBase salary and bonus program\nMedical, dental, vision, life insurance effective on date of hire\nGenerous 401(k) Plan\nDefined Contribution Plan\nPaid vacation and paid holidays\nTuition reimbursement\nProfessional growth and development programs to help advance your career!\nOfficial Contact Information\nEmail: All official emails will come from an @Swisher.com address\nWebsite: Verify job listings and contact details on https://careers.swisher.com\nImportant: We will never contact you via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets.
