You understand how to build and operate complex software systems and enjoy helping teams deliver impactful outcomes.\nYou are comfortable working across technology and business domains and can balance innovation with operational excellence.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience\nExtensive experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software systems\nStrong software engineering background using Python, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, or similar technologies\nDeep understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD\nExperience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments, and modern software platforms\nAbility to bridge business objectives and technical implementation\nExperience driving technical decision-making in complex environments\nInterest in applying AI and agentic technologies to business problems\nNice to Have\nExperience leading software engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, or data engineering teams\nExperience building AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows\nFamiliarity with LLM application patterns, RAG, tool calling, and evaluation frameworks\nExperience with cloud AI services such as Azure AI\nKnowledge of MLOps and model lifecycle practices\nExperience with Palantir Foundry / AIP\nInsurance, reinsurance, or financial services experience\nFor Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,200 and EUR 5,300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:\nthe requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, \nthe applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.\nIn addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
