The role is strongly hands-on and combines software engineering, data engineering, and analytics delivery, with ownership focused on clean implementation, robust pipelines, maintainable applications, and continuous improvement of data products.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and build end-to-end analytics solutions in Palantir Foundry\n\nScalable PySpark data pipelines\n\nUser-facing web apps using Workshop and TypeScript\n\nTranslate business needs into technical designs, data models, and implementable user stories\n\nImprove architecture, performance, data quality, testing, automation, and developer experience\n\nOwn implementation quality through clean code, code reviews, documentation, and production support\n\nCollaborate with product owners, architects, analysts, and fellow developers in a global, cross-functional environment\n\nAbout the Team\nThe Specialty Analytics team delivers analytics for niche lines of business including Agriculture, Aviation, Credit & Surety, Cyber, Nuclear, and Political Violence. We are part of a global P&C data initiative focused on building scalable data products, reusable engineering patterns, reliable analytical applications, and data-driven decision support.\nAbout You\nYou enjoy solving complex data problems, writing maintainable code, and turning raw data into useful analytical products. You are comfortable working across data pipelines, application logic, user-facing analytics, and production support, and you take pride in building solutions that are reliable, scalable, and easy for other developers to work with.\nWe are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:\nHands-on experience in data engineering or analytics\n\nProficiency in Python and PySpark for scalable data transformation pipelines\n\nSolid understanding of SQL, data warehousing, ELT and cloud data architecture\n\nPractical software engineering skills, including using AI tools\n\nProblem-solving and communication skills\n\nThese are additional nice to have:\nExperience building user-facing applications with JavaScript or TypeScript\n\nPalantir Foundry experience\n\n(Re)Insurance or financial domain knowledge\n\nExperience with Generative AI and/or Natural Language Processing\n\nOur company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.\nFor Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,400] and [EUR 4,100] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:\nthe requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,\n\nthe applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.\n\nIn addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
