You'll collaborate with underwriting, pricing, finance, and technology teams to translate complex requirements into clear specifications that support the development and enhancement of costing tools and related business capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze, clarify, and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications, including process maps, business architecture, wireframes, and data models.\nEnsure comprehensive specification of User Stories with the required business context, data requirements, and supporting analysis.\nDesign and define test scenarios and support the Product Owner in creating effective acceptance criteria.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, Business Architects, and Data teams to maintain end-to-end consistency across systems, processes, and information architecture.\nWork closely with underwriting, pricing, and finance stakeholders to understand costing methodologies, pricing rules, and business processes.\nSupport the enhancement of costing and pricing tools by identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improved user experience.\nOrganize and prioritize the Product Backlog based on Product Owner guidance.\nProvide functional support for one or more business applications, resolving user requests or coordinating with development teams for complex issues.\nCreate and maintain project documentation and business knowledge artifacts on the corporate Wiki.\nAbout You\nYou're a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments. You have strong analytical skills and can effectively translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. You are proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working with stakeholders across business, pricing, underwriting, and technology functions.\nWe need you to bring the following must-haves:\n5+ years of experience as a Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst, or similar role.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.\nStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional product teams.\nProficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management platforms.\nProficiency in Visio or other process mapping tools, with good knowledge of BPMN.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to understand business processes, data flows, and system interactions.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Commercial Insurance products and processes.\nUnderstanding of costing, pricing, profitability, or portfolio management concepts.\nKnowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations.\nExperience with data modeling, reporting, and database concepts.\nFamiliarity with API design principles and system integrations.\nBackground in software development or technical implementation.\nAbout Swiss Re\nSwiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
