This is a high-impact role at the heart of one of Swiss Re's most exciting strategic initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and nurture trusted relationships with internal L&H business partners across underwriting, in-force management, operations, and actuarial functions\nCollaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm ideas, shape use cases, and define MVP scope aligned with the long-term AI product vision\nCapture and document complex business requirements, translating them into clear, actionable functional and non-functional specifications that reflect real business value and operational realities\nAnalyze business problems using data-driven approaches, leveraging SQL-based analysis to uncover insights and support decision-making\nTranslate business requirements into structured analytical thinking, working closely with AI and data teams to ensure model outputs, recommendations, and reasoning align with business expectations\nSupport validation of AI-enabled insights, dashboards, and workflows from a business and functional perspective\nDefine and execute functional test scenarios for data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions, ensuring solutions meet agreed business requirements\nPerform UAT and functional testing, analyzing defects, identifying root causes, and collaborating with delivery teams to propose effective solutions\nEnsure high-quality releases through structured test planning and execution\nSupport defect resolution, production incident analysis, and problem management, acting as a business-facing point of contact during early production usage\nParticipate in go-live readiness activities, including validation, sign-offs, and post-go-live support to ensure adoption and stability\nStep up during peak cycles, demonstrating flexibility and dependability to meet critical delivery deadlines\nAbout the Team\nLife & Health Data & Analytics Engineering is a strategic technology partner for Swiss Re's Life & Health Reinsurance division - and we are just getting started. As part of the broader Advance with AI initiative, the team is actively building and delivering AI-driven capabilities across end-to-end L&H operations and in-force management - leveraging Swiss Re's rich global data foundation and enterprise business applications to enable continuous portfolio monitoring, actionable insights, and reasoning-enabled workflows in a regulated environment.\nAbout You\nYou are a curious, detail-oriented professional who brings both analytical depth and strong communication skills to everything you do. You are equally comfortable diving into data as you are facilitating a requirements workshop with senior business stakeholders. You take quality seriously - not as a checkbox, but as a mindset - and you bring structure, rigour, and a collaborative spirit to complex, fast-moving delivery environments. You are energised by the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions and are motivated by seeing your work make a real difference in how business decisions are made.\nWe are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:\n2-3 years of hands-on business analysis and data analysis experience, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications\nStrong functional testing and QA background within complex data or technology solutions, including experience defining test scenarios, performing UAT, and managing defect resolution\nHands-on SQL experience for data analysis, validation, and investigation within data platforms or analytics environments\nLife & Health insurance or reinsurance domain experience, with an understanding of underwriting, in-force management, or actuarial workflows\nExperience working with data platforms, analytics solutions, or AI-enabled products, with the ability to validate outputs and support business adoption\nThese are additional nice to haves:\nExposure to AI / GenAI concepts, including prompt engineering, and an interest in how these technologies are applied in a business context\nExperience supporting AI-driven decision support or monitoring solutions\nFamiliarity with model governance, explainability, or regulatory expectations in a data or AI context\nExposure to in-force management, portfolio analytics, or underwriting workflows\nExperience working in large, global enterprise environments with cross-functional, agile delivery teams\nFamiliarity with structured stakeholder management in complex, matrixed organizations\nOur company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.\nAbout Swiss Re Corporate Solutions\nSwiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer.
