We are a small, collaborative pod working closely with product owners and business stakeholders in Switzerland, network SMEs and external specialists, and together we're building an internal AI delivery capability for Swisscom Operations.\n\nAs Agentic AI Engineer, you are a hands-on individual contributor who designs and builds agentic AI tools that automate operational processes. You help shape architecture decisions, engineering standards, code quality and technical delivery, and help embed AI engineering practices within Swisscom.\n\nWhat you'll doBuild agentic workflows: Design and implement agent-based and multi-agent workflows that automate Mobile Technology & Voice operational processes.\nOrchestrate the agents: Develop and evolve orchestrator logic and tool-use patterns for operations automation.\nShip production-grade LLM apps: Build LLM applications on AWS Bedrock with suitable agent frameworks, and define prompt, context, grounding, citation and response-assembly patterns.\nMake it trustworthy: Implement evaluation for quality, groundedness, latency, reliability and safety, plus guardrails against prompt injection, unsupported claims and unsafe tool usage.\nKeep humans in the loop: Design human-in-the-loop controls and evidence-based decision-support outputs.\nShape the architecture: Contribute to the end-to-end architecture of the AI tooling suite, take part in design reviews, document decisions in Architecture Decision Records and make pragmatic build-versus-buy recommendations.\nRaise the bar: Uphold the pod's engineering, testing, documentation and code-review standards.\nDeliver as a pod: Plan and coordinate delivery with pod members, remove technical blockers, support onboarding, and pair with external specialists so knowledge stays within Swisscom.\nTurn operations into code: Work with Managers on Duty, network SMEs and operations engineers to convert workflows, SOPs and expert judgement into testable agent behaviour, and demo working software to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nJob requirements\n\nSoftware EngineeringStrong professional software-engineering background with hands-on delivery responsibility.\nStrong Python skills, with experience designing APIs and distributed services.\nContribution to technical design, code reviews and engineering quality practices.\n\nGenerative & Agentic AIPractical experience building production-grade generative AI or LLM applications.\nExperience with agentic workflows, tool calling, retrieval, grounding and evaluation.\n\nCloudPractical AWS experience, ideally including Bedrock, IAM, networking, logging and serverless services.\n\nSoft SkillsStrong communication skills in English (written and spoken).\nAbility to work autonomously in a distributed, cross-location product team.\nAbility to explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong ownership mindset combined with a collaborative, pod-first attitude.\nWillingness to share knowledge and support the growth of colleagues.\n\nNice to haveAWS Strands SDK or comparable agent frameworks and runtimes\nTelecommunications, network operations, observability or incident-management knowledge\nOperational AI, explainability, auditability and human-in-the-loop systems\nCollaborating with external delivery partners and supporting knowledge transfer\nRegulated, security-sensitive or enterprise production environments\n\nPerks\nWhat we offerHybrid and flexible working: 2 days in the office, flexible hours between 6:00 and 20:00\n25 days of annual leave (3 more than the legal minimum)\nMeal allowance of €10.40 per day\nMulticare private health insurance, with the option to add dependents at an attractive cost\nPersonal accident and business travel insurance\nHome-office allowance of €22 per month, plus a €300 home-office equipment budget every 5 years\nCommunication allowance of €20 per month, plus an €800 mobile phone budget every 3 years\nMobility allowance of €480 per year for your commute\nLaptop and standard equipment kit\n€1,000 referral bonus for every successful hire you refer\nAmong others benefits\n\nSalary: €37.000 -
