We are a small, collaborative pod working closely with product owners and business stakeholders in Switzerland, network SMEs and external specialists, and together we're building an internal AI delivery capability for Swisscom Operations.\n\nAs AI Platform Engineer, you own the runtime, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, security baseline, observability and production reliability of the AI tooling suite. You make agentic AI operable in an enterprise environment, so that models, agents, APIs, user interfaces, integrations and telemetry run with the right controls, performance, auditability and cost transparency.\n\nWhat you'll doBuild the cloud foundation: Design, provision and operate the AWS infrastructure for the AI tooling suite, including the agent runtime and its connectivity to AWS Bedrock and upstream services.\nSecure by design: Implement secure network patterns, identity integration, IAM, secrets management, encryption and least-privilege access.\nAutomate everything: Build CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and controlled production promotion, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment, configuration and rollback.\nManage environments: Run development, staging and production environments, and establish release and change practices suited to a small product team.\nMake it observable: Implement structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards and alerting, with a complete audit trail of queries, tool calls, responses, latency and model usage.\nKeep it reliable: Define service-level indicators for availability, latency, error rate and cost, investigate incidents, and design graceful degradation when models or upstream systems are unavailable.\nRun the AI platform: Operate model access, quotas, guardrails and runtime policies, monitor token consumption and model cost, and support model and prompt versioning and evaluation pipelines.\nStay compliant: Support security reviews, threat modelling and audits, align controls with Swisscom standards, and maintain runbooks and recovery procedures.\nGrow internal know-how: Pair with external cloud and DevOps specialists and contribute reusable platform capabilities for future Swisscom AI agents.\nSupport production: Take part in on-call or production support once the AI tooling suite enters operational service.\n\nJob requirements\n\nCloud & InfrastructureStrong hands-on AWS engineering experience\nInfrastructure as code, cloud networking, IAM, secrets and encryption\nContainers, serverless services or managed application runtimes\n\nDevOps & OperationsCI/CD pipelines and automated deployment\nOperating production services with monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response\nUnderstanding of secure software-delivery and production-change practices\n\nScripting & AutomationStrong scripting and automation skills, preferably Python and shell\n\nSoft SkillsStrong communication skills in English (written and spoken).\nStrong ownership of production reliability, with a habit of turning incidents into learning.\nCollaborative approach when working with security teams, platform owners and pod members.\nWillingness to share knowledge so the team can operate the platform independently.\nAvailability for on-call or production support once the platform is in operational service.\n\nNice to haveOperating generative AI, LLM, MLOps or agentic AI platforms\nAWS Bedrock, CloudWatch, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, WAF and Secrets Manager\nKubernetes, OpenTelemetry or comparable enterprise runtimes\nAzure AD / Entra ID integration using OIDC or SAML\nFinOps for model and cloud-cost monitoring\nTelecommunications, network operations or high-availability operational systems\n\nPerks\nWhat we offerHybrid and flexible working: 2 days in the office, flexible hours between 6:00 and 20:00\n25 days of annual leave (3 more than the legal minimum)\nMeal allowance of €10.40 per day\nMulticare private health insurance, with the option to add dependents at an attractive cost\nPersonal accident and business travel insurance\nHome-office allowance of €22 per month, plus a €300 home-office equipment budget every 5 years\nCommunication allowance of €20 per month, plus an €800 mobile phone budget every 3 years\nMobility allowance of €480 per year for your commute\nLaptop and standard equipment kit\n€1,000 referral bonus for every successful hire you refer\nAmong others benefits\n\nSalary: €30.000 -
