We work in strong collaboration with our partners in Switzerland and attract and retain high performers.\nWe're expanding our footprint in Lisbon and are looking for an AI Platform Engineer to join our growing AI team.\nWe invite driven professionals to join us, grow with us, and help shape the future.\nThe team / project\nYou will join an international team of DevOps engineers based in Bern and Zurich, responsible for Swisscom’s Telco Cloud Infrastructure (TCI), built on Kubernetes and OpenStack. As part of the TCI Agile Release Train, the team provides the software infrastructure for the cloudification of Swisscom’s telco services, such as mobile voice and data, enterprise remote connectivity and 5G.\n\nThe team works in an agile setup with a strong focus on knowledge sharing and continuous learning of new technologies. You will work closely with your colleagues in Switzerland, on Swiss time (CET, 1 hour ahead of Lisbon). This is an internal Swisscom platform, not a consulting project.\n\nWhat you’ll doCloud infrastructure: Deploy, configure and operate private cloud and container infrastructure on OpenStack and Kubernetes.\nTroubleshooting: Investigate and fix issues across multiple layers, from the Linux OS to the switch fabric.\nAutomation & operability: Automate and improve the operability of our services so they run reliably at scale.\nMonitoring: Maintain and improve our monitoring and alerting solution.\nTooling: Build automation and tooling in Python and Ansible, delivered through GitLab CI.\nOperations: Take part in the 24/7 on-call rotation and handle operational incidents.\n\nJob requirements\nExperience3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, system engineering or DevOps\n\nCloud & LinuxUniversity degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.\nStrong understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenStack.\nGood knowledge of Linux and virtualisation.\nExperience with Linux and data centre networking.\n\nDevelopment & AutomationExperience with automation in Python and Ansible, writing clean, maintainable code.\nConfident with Git in a team-based development workflow.\nHands-on experience with GitLab CI pipelines.\n\nSoft SkillsStrong documentation skills: structured, careful and precise.\nSelf-organised, proactive and focused on practical delivery.\nVery good written and spoken English (at least B2 level).\nAvailability for the 24/7 on-call rotation and for travel to Switzerland (around 1–2 times per year).\n\nNice to haveExperience with Software Defined Networking (SDN).\nKnowledge of storage and hardware.\nSoftware development experience.\nGerman, French or Italian language skills.\nPerks\nWhat we offerHybrid and flexible working: 2 days in the office, flexible hours between 6:00 and 20:00\n25 days of annual leave (3 more than the legal minimum)\nMeal allowance of €10.40 per day\nMulticare private health insurance, with the option to add dependents at an attractive cost\nPersonal accident and business travel insurance\nHome-office allowance of €22 per month, plus a €300 home-office equipment budget every 5 years\nCommunication allowance of €20 per month, plus an €800 mobile phone budget every 3 years\nMobility allowance of €480 per year for your commute\nLaptop and standard equipment kit\n€1,000 referral bonus for every successful hire you refer\nAmong others benefits\nSalary: €37.000 -
