This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to):\nProcurement process management:\nCollaborate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans.\nSource and evaluate potential suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.\nPrepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.\nMonitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or issues.\nSupplier relationship management:\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.\nConduct supplier performance evaluations and assess their ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.\nResolve supplier-related issues, such as delivery delays, product quality concerns, or billing discrepancies.\nContinuously evaluate and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost savings, and process improvements.\nMaintain accurate and up to date vendor documentation. \nContract management:\nReview and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.\nCollaborate with the external legal department to ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.\nMonitor contract renewals and expirations, initiating contract renegotiations or terminations as needed\nMaintain accurate contract records and documentation.\nInventory management and control:\nCollaborate with inventory control teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.\nMonitor inventory usage and demand, adjusting procurement plans accordingly.\nCoordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.\nEnsure financially impacted inventory transactions are processed accurately, and partner with Finance to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies to minimize inventory shrinkage.\nRequirements\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\n1+ years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar procurement role.\nSolid understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.\nProficient in using ERP (Business Central Experience preferred) and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).\nStrong negotiation and vendor management skills.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nKnowledge of relevant Legal and regulatory requirements.\nSummary of Benefits\nGroup health & welfare benefits: Options for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, Health Savings Account (requires participation in eligible medical plan).\nCompany-paid benefits: Employee Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Long Term Disability (LTD), Short Term Disability (STD).\n401(k) Plan with company match\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Parental Leave\nPaid Holidays \nBenefits and incentive compensation may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.\nCompensation\nThe typical base pay range for this role is between $55,000-70,000/year.
