This is a hybrid position that requires someone based in Minneapolis/St. Paul or Washington, DC who can work in-office 3+ days per week\nImpact:\nYou will work with the existing infrastructure and deployment team to automate, scale and test deployments of Swoop Technologies’ products. Deployments may include secure, airgapped, on prem, remote, bare metal and cloud environments. Currently, deployments are closely tied to a gitlab CI/CD infrastructure. Day to day tasks will include spinning up and down AWS resources to support code development and testing, refining Terraform provisioning scripts, monitoring and building out profiling metrics, and securing overall cloud presence.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBuilding out automation around monitoring of cloud resource health and usage\n\nWorking with security engineers to ensure NIST, STIG compliance of cloud applications\n\nAutomation of cloud resource provisioning using Terraform and Ansible\n\nStreamlining the process by which developers deploy, run and test code in cloud environments\n\nEnabling appropriate cloud and orchestration scaling mechanisms to ensure ideal balance of performance and resource use efficiency\n\nSupport code and resource updates of client installations\n\nWork with client engineers to monitor and fine tune their resources\n\nYou Should Have:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience\n\n3+ yrs in cloud provisioning and management\n\nUnderstanding of basic software security standards, CI/CD configuration, and buildout (i.e. configuring gitlab.yaml files)\n\nCode containerization (reading and editing Dockerfiles); Container orchestration (Kubernetes); Provisioning (Terraform); Cloud Deployments (AWS); Resource monitoring (Promethius)\n\nLinux, CentOS, Windows knowledge\n\nProficiency in Python and Bash scripting\n\nActive US Security clearance OR ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance\n\nBonus if you have:\nAWS Certifications\n\nExperience working in AWS gov cloud\n\nCompetent in networking and virtualization (firewalls, IP tables, virtual environments, containerization, VMWare, application ingress, etc).\n\nTest/QA automation\n\nCode quality and security scanning using tools such as SonarQube\n\nSwoop Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
