This is a hybrid position that requires someone based in Minneapolis/St. Paul who can work in-office 3+ days per week\nImpact:\nAs a SET, you will become an expert in our testing and tooling infrastructure at Swoop. You’ll be critical to increasing the expansion of our existing test automation frameworks and improving test coverage across a range of Swoop products that include hardware and embedded systems to a high performance web application. You will also be instrumental in identifying the tooling necessary to build automation and efficiency into our build process. Your work will help ensure a successful deployment of Swoop software into our customers' critical environments.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBuild, scale, and help operate Swoop’s testing and tooling infrastructure\n\nSeek to automate unit, functional, and end to end testing - creating a gold standard testing environment\n\nConfigure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in our CI/CD environments\n\nIdentify and drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability\n\nEnsure no regression and conducting manual testing of new and existing feature sets\n\nWork with engineers to define and implement best testing practices earlier in the development process\n\nWork with our deployment engineers to convert scenario based testing into an automated testing framework\n\nYou Should Have:\n3+ yrs writing automated testing and tooling with working knowledge in Python and Javascript\n\nA strong understanding of CI/CD and Build pipelines\n\nAn interest in continuing to grow your knowledge and skills in test infrastructure, frameworks, test provisioning, and configuration using GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker\n\nYou understand the importance of testing versus QA, and bring a solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies\n\nA passion for working across multiple engineering teams, championing clean code, and building testing earlier into the development process\n\nA meticulous nature and attention to detail, driven to pick things apart and make development teams stronger\n\nActive US Security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance\n\nTravel Requirement - 5-20%\n\nBonus if you have:\nExperience writing test frameworks in several programming languages\n\nHave experience building internal tooling focused on automation, efficiency, and reliability\n\nExperience writing automated testing and tooling in C or Rust\n\nSwoop Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
