We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals.\nWe are looking for an experienced Allegro ETRM Developer to design, develop and support solutions within an enterprise energy trading environment.\nThe successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience of the Allegro Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform, combined with a solid software engineering background in C# and .NET.\nYou will take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, design appropriate solutions and deliver high-quality, maintainable applications.\nDesign, develop, configure and support solutions within the Allegro ETRM platform.\nTake technical ownership across the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.\nDevelop and maintain applications, components and integrations using C# and .NET.\nWork closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex trading and operational requirements into technical solutions.\nInvestigate and resolve application issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.\nContribute to the integration of Allegro with wider enterprise applications, services and data platforms.\nProduce clean, secure, maintainable and well-tested code in line with software engineering best practice.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance activities.\nWork within an Agile delivery environment, contributing to refinement, sprint planning and continuous improvement.\nSupport deployment and release activities using modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.\nProduce and maintain appropriate technical documentation.\nCollaborate effectively across development, architecture, testing, infrastructure and business teams.\nRequirements\nStrong hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions using the Allegro ETRM platform.\nDemonstrable experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using C# and .NET.\nGood understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).\nExperience developing, enhancing and supporting business-critical enterprise systems.\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles including:\nAutomated and manual testing\nSource/version control\nCode quality and code reviews\nSecure development practices\nRelease and deployment management\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability.\nExperience delivering software within an Agile environment.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with Microsoft Azure.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nDevOps and deployment automation experience.\nExperience developing or supporting APIs, interfaces and enterprise integrations.\nExperience working with cloud-based or hybrid enterprise environments.\nFamiliarity with automated testing and modern engineering practices.\nKnowledge of energy trading, commodity trading or energy markets.\nWider experience of ETRM/CTRM systems and processes.\nBenefits\nAt Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development, and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success.
