You will be involved throughout the Azure lifecycle, from initial discovery and technical design through to implementation, migration, optimisation and ongoing support.\nYou will bring strong Azure infrastructure knowledge and practical delivery experience, helping customers build secure, scalable and well-managed cloud environments while providing technical advice and guidance throughout their cloud journey.\nAs an Azure Infrastructure Consultant, you will:\nDesign, build, deploy and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions across a range of customer environments. \nWork across the cloud adoption lifecycle, contributing to discovery, technical design, implementation, migration and ongoing optimisation. \nPlan and deliver migrations from on-premises and cloud environments into Microsoft Azure using appropriate migration tools and approaches. \nConfigure and support Azure compute, networking, connectivity, storage, backup and application infrastructure. \nWork with Azure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, VPNs, Azure Backup, Azure SQL, Storage and App Services. \nImplement and support Azure monitoring, governance and security capabilities using services such as Azure Monitor, Azure Policy and Log Analytics. \nUse Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies, including Bicep and ARM templates, to support efficient and repeatable deployments. \nConsult our clients on cloud adoption best practices and how to align their platforms to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles when designing and delivering Azure environments. \nMaintain and evolve Azure solutions and service levels within managed service customer environments. \nTroubleshoot technical issues across Azure and associated hybrid infrastructure, identifying appropriate resolutions and improvements. \nProduce clear and high-quality technical documentation and solution artefacts. \nWork directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide practical advice and guidance. \nCollaborate with Engineers, Consultants and Architects across the wider team to deliver effective end-to-end solutions. \nBuild strong customer relationships through high-quality technical delivery and professional advice. \nKeep up to date with developments across Microsoft Azure and wider cloud technologies, applying relevant best practice and new capabilities where appropriate.\nRequirements\nStrong hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions. \nExperience delivering Azure infrastructure across project and/or managed service environments. \nExperience planning and delivering migrations from on-premises or cloud environments into Microsoft Azure. \nPractical experience with Azure migration technologies such as Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR). \nStrong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networking, VPNs, Azure Backup, Azure SQL, Storage and App Services. \nExperience with Azure monitoring, governance and security capabilities, including Azure Monitor, Azure Policy and Log Analytics. \nExperience with Azure automation and Infrastructure as Code, including Bicep and/or ARM templates. Good understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles. \nStrong understanding of technology stacks in general including networking topologies and traditional on premises implementation of services like: WAN, SAN, AD, DNS, DHCP, NGFW, File and Print Services, Virtualisation, Backups and Site Recovery and how these integrate with Azure.\nExperience producing clear, high-quality technical documentation and solution artefacts. \nGood understanding of modern delivery approaches and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud and infrastructure environments. \nGood customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to understand requirements and provide clear technical advice. \nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider technical delivery team. \nStrong organisational and time-management skills, with a proactive approach to learning and keeping up to date with evolving cloud technologies.\nDesirable Requirements:\n Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-700, AZ-500, AZ-140 or other relevant Azure certifications. \n Experience working within consultancy or customer-facing technical delivery environments. \n Experience supporting Azure environments within a managed service. \n Experience working across hybrid cloud environments. \n Knowledge of other cloud platforms and their capabilities. \n Experience or knowledge of AWS.\n Experience or knowledge of Datacenter Migrations to Azure.\n Experience or knowledge of Migration strategies (7Rs) and best practices. \nBenefits\nAt Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development, and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success.
