This is a varied role that combines business analysis, application support, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, project delivery, and continuous improvement activities.\nWorking closely with business stakeholders, you will develop a strong understanding of business processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and deliver technology solutions that support organisational objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring business systems are well-governed, documented, supported, and aligned with the overall technology roadmap.\nProvide 2nd line support for a portfolio of corporate business systems, investigating and resolving issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and delivering system enhancements.\nAdhere to IT Service Management processes for incident, problem, and change management.\nBuild strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand operational and strategic requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to create business value through technology solutions and process improvements.\nAnalyse, review, and document business processes, requirements, and data flows, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.\nEnsure business systems are fully documented, including application architecture, infrastructure, support arrangements, and operational procedures.\nManage supplier and vendor relationships, including licensing, budgeting, service levels, contract management, and performance reviews.\nProvide guidance, support, and training to end users, promoting effective use of systems and adherence to organisational standards and policies.\nDefine, plan, coordinate, and deliver projects and system enhancements to agreed scope, budget, timescales, and quality standards.\nSupport governance activities and ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and procedures.\nEvaluate requests for new software and technology solutions to ensure alignment with business needs, IT strategy, and architectural standards.\nAnalyse and improve internal IT processes to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.\nPrepare and deliver presentations, recommendations, and status updates to stakeholders and steering committees.\nRequirements\nExtensive experience in a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Application Analyst, or similar business systems role.\nExperience supporting and enhancing one or more business-critical enterprise applications.\nStrong business and technical analysis skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.\nProven experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels and building strong cross-functional relationships.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.\nStrong documentation and process mapping capabilities.\nExperience managing third-party suppliers and software vendors.\nDemonstrable experience delivering projects, system implementations, upgrades, and business change initiatives.\nProject Management qualification or equivalent practical project delivery experience.\nDegree-qualified or professionally accredited through recognised industry bodies.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience within the oil and gas, energy, or related industrial sectors.\nKnowledge of business processes across functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, or Operations.\nExperience working within complex, multi-site, or global organisations.\nFamiliarity with enterprise applications such as ERP, HR, Finance, or operational business systems.\nBenefits\nAt Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success.\nWe offer comprehensive benefits designed to support your professional development and enhance your overall quality of life.
