We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals.\nAbout the role:\nAs a CMMS Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective management of maintenance master data within SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM), supporting efficient maintenance operations and asset reliability.\nWorking closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and Project teams, you will support the effective use of maintenance management systems, improve data quality and contribute to initiatives that enhance maintenance planning, performance and operational efficiency.\nThis is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in SAP PM and maintenance data management while contributing to continuous improvement across a complex engineering environment.\nAs a CMMS Engineer, you will:\nCreate, maintain and update maintenance master data within SAP PM, including asset registers, maintenance plans, maintenance items, task lists and Bills of Materials (BOMs).\nProcess and implement master data change requests in accordance with established procedures, governance standards and operational requirements.\nEnsure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of maintenance data to support effective maintenance planning, scheduling and execution.\nConduct data quality checks, audits and validation activities to ensure compliance with maintenance data standards.\nSupport engineering and brownfield projects by providing maintenance master data assurance and ensuring information is accurately captured and maintained.\nProvide first-line CMMS support to maintenance and operational teams, resolving system-related queries and providing guidance on best practices.\nSupport CMMS enhancements, upgrades, testing and implementation activities.\nAnalyse maintenance and operational data to identify trends, improve data quality and support maintenance performance improvements.\nContribute to data improvement initiatives, including data cleansing, benchmarking, reporting and process standardisation.\nDevelop and maintain reports and performance metrics to support maintenance KPIs and operational decision-making.\nProvide training and guidance to system users, promoting consistent and effective use of SAP PM.\nCollaborate with engineering, maintenance and project stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and systems.\nRequirements\nHands-on experience managing SAP PM master data, including asset registers, maintenance plans, task lists and Bills of Materials.\nGood understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance data management principles.\nKnowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling and performance management processes.\nExperience maintaining and improving data quality, accuracy and governance within maintenance or asset management systems.\nAbility to analyse maintenance data, identify inconsistencies and support process improvements.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.\nDesirable experience:\nExperience working within oil and gas, energy or other asset-intensive industrial environments.\nExperience using Power BI or other reporting and business intelligence tools.\nExposure to predictive maintenance technologies, maintenance AI tools or digital maintenance solutions.\nExperience supporting CMMS system upgrades, enhancements, testing or deployment activities.\nKnowledge of maintenance reliability principles and asset performance improvement initiatives.\nBenefits\nAt Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development, and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success.
