We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals.\nAbout the role:\nAs a Senior OT Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of cyber security solutions across complex Operational Technology (OT) environments.\nWorking as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will be involved across the lifecycle of OT security activities, from understanding existing environments and assessing potential risks through to the design, implementation, testing and assurance of technical security controls.\nThis is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who understands the operational considerations of securing industrial environments and can work effectively across engineering, cyber security, architecture and operational teams.\nCandidates will be required to successfully complete BPSS screening\nAs a Senior OT Engineer, you will:\nReview OT environments, architectures and technical designs from a cyber security perspective\nAssess OT networks, connectivity, system interactions and data flows to identify potential security risks\nCarry out threat and vulnerability assessments across operational environments\nSupport the design and implementation of appropriate technical security controls\nConfigure and test security controls within OT environments\nSupport firewall, network segmentation, secure configuration and monitoring activities\nReview technical solutions and provide security assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle\nProduce clear technical documentation, risk assessments and security assurance evidence\nSupport technical solutions through governance, implementation and transition into operational use\nWork closely with engineering, architecture, cyber security and operational teams to resolve technical challenges\nEngage with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure security considerations are incorporated into technical solutions\nContribute to the continuous improvement of OT cyber security practices and ways of working.\nRequirements\nPractical experience working with OT, ICS, control systems or other industrial technology environments\nA good understanding of OT cyber security principles and the challenges associated with securing operational environments\nStrong networking knowledge, including network architecture, connectivity, segmentation and data flows\nExperience implementing, configuring or assuring technical security controls\nUnderstanding of firewalls, secure configuration and security monitoring within operational environments\nKnowledge of common cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and risk assessment approaches\nThe ability to interpret technical designs, network diagrams and system architectures\nExperience producing technical documentation, assessments and supporting evidence\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a practical approach to solving technical problems\nThe ability to work collaboratively across engineering, cyber security, architecture and operational teams\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical considerations clearly to a range of stakeholders\nQualifications & technical experience\nKnowledge of recognised OT and cyber security standards and frameworks would be beneficial.\nRelevant technical or cyber security certifications, such as IEC 62443, GICSP, Check Point or Splunk certifications, would also be advantageous.
