The project

Our client is a well-established B2B company specializing in background checks and compliance verification services across the United States. We are building a technology platform to support and streamline the company’s core business operations. This cloud-first solution consists of multiple interconnected systems and integrates with numerous third-party providers to collect, process, and exchange data required for background checks and compliance verifications.

This is a greenfield project, where we are designing and developing the platform from the ground up. Existing customer systems serve as a valuable source of business knowledge and domain expertise, helping us shape the new solution while modernizing the overall technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on Azure, ensuring high availability and performance
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate software delivery processes
• Work closely with application teams and clients to provide efficient solutions, software components, and design patterns that support their development efforts
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and increase overall productivity
• Implement monitoring solutions, optimize system performance, and manage incidents effectively to maintain smooth operations
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• At least Intermediate (B1) level of English
• Proficiency in version control using Git
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terraspace, and Bicep
• Strong understanding of Continuous Deployment/Continuous Delivery (CD) practices and tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Docker Compose
• Extensive experience with the Azure cloud platform
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python
• Experience with Unix and Windows OS administration
• Familiarity with databases including MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
• Experience using AI-assisted development and engineering tools to improve productivity and automate routine tasks

Optional Requirements

• Experience with AWS CodeCommit and Bitbucket CI/CD
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Experience with .NET application build, testing, and IIS management
• Ability to write tests for IaC code
• Experience as a mentor
