Working closely with Product, R&D, Business Development, and leadership, we translate complex innovation into engaging stories that inspire customers, partners, investors, and the wider quantum community.\nWe’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Communication & Events Manager to help shape the voice and visibility of Quantum Motion. As a key member of our newly formed global marketing communications team, you'll take ownership of everything from managing our (international) PR consultants and securing media coverage to delivering standout conference experiences around the world. If you're early in your career, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited by the opportunity to put quantum computing on the global stage, this is the role for you.\nFunctions of the Role\nPR, Analysts & Communications\nOwn the day-to-day execution of Quantum Motion's global PR programme, working closely with our external PR consultant (UK-based) and Director of Marketing.\n\nIdentify and drive proactive media opportunities, manage press calendars, coordinate approvals, and ensure timely delivery of PR activities.\n\nCoordinate media interviews and speaking opportunities, preparing briefing materials for technical and executive spokespeople.\n\nCoordinate with key industry analysts on briefings and keeping them informed of Quantum Motions progress\n\nMonitor and report on media coverage, campaign performance and industry trends.\n\nCreate compelling press materials, media pitches and thought leadership content, translating complex quantum technologies into engaging stories for both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nGlobal Events & Conference Management\nLead the end-to-end planning and delivery of Quantum Motion's presence at major international conferences, exhibitions and industry events.\n\nManage conference logistics including stand design and build, supplier coordination, budgets, timelines and event operations.\n\nOversee the global shipment of marketing materials, demonstration equipment and exhibition assets, including customs and international logistics.\n\nTravel internationally to manage on-site event delivery, stand operations, staff schedules and ensure an exceptional visitor experience.\n\nWork collaboratively with commercial, engineering and product teams to maximise the impact of every event.\n\nGrowth & Ownership\nThrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, taking ownership of projects and continuously improving the way we deliver PR and events.\n\nBring fresh ideas, a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn as you help build a world-class marketing communications function.\n\nPlay a foundational role in a growing team, with significant opportunities to broaden your responsibilities and develop your career as Quantum Motion scales.\n\nExperience - Essentials\nA minimum of 5 years' experience in communications, PR, media relations and/or event management, ideally within a fast-paced technology, deep-tech or start-up environment.\n\nProven experience working with and managing external PR agencies and media relationships.\n\nExcellent written communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content.\n\nExceptional organisational skills, with experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.\n\nA genuine curiosity for quantum computing, frontier technologies or advanced science, with the confidence to engage with highly technical subject matter.\n\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.\n\nWillingness to travel internationally to support major conferences and industry events.\n\nExperience - Desirable\nExperience working within the UK technology media landscape;
