It is a complex science-based project that requires consideration of wastewater operations, receiving environments, public health and Aboriginal cultural values. \nResponsibilities: \nWorking collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary Sydney Water team, independent experts, and regulators to implement a new framework to assess and manage the impact of wastewater discharges to waterways \nEffectively integrate multiple complex and sometimes competing considerations into your decisions including data from environmental monitoring, regulatory requirements, asset performance, cost effectiveness, expert and stakeholder input.\nProvide effective guidance for the development, delivery and analytical outputs of environmental and aquatic monitoring programs.\nEnsuring Aboriginal cultural values of waterways are embedded in project decision making via effective, respectful engagement. \nManage effective stakeholder relationships, ensure effective community engagement and reflect customers’ environmental priorities.\nAbout You \nTertiary qualifications in Science/ Environmental Management or relevant discipline\nExperience leading complex scientific or environmental projects with multiple stakeholders\nStrong understanding of scientific, environmental and regulatory principles\nAbility to manage project schedules, budgets, risks and external vendors\nStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills\nAbility to balance technical, environmental, financial and customer needs\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly\nAbility to work within project management frameworks, systems and processes\nCommitment to community outcomes, including respect for Aboriginal cultural values and waterways\n\nPlease note as part of the application process, you will be asked to undergo background checks which includes a criminal history check and a medical assessment either online or in person. \nDoes this sound like you?
