You will provide high-level technical input during option analysis, the design phase, business case reviews (e.g., NABC, OABC, DABC), and commissioning. A major focus of the role will ensure strong adherence to safety in design principles.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are fit for purpose across all phases—planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operations.\nSupport capital and growth projects with technical input and ensure alignment with Sydney Water standards.\nLead resolution of complex technical and process issues, contribute to product quality and specification development, and drive standardization through technical manuals and process descriptions.\nProvide input into research, development, and pilot trials of new technologies and instrumentation.\nEnsure safety in design, construction, and commissioning, lead safety initiatives and investigations.\nImplement new systems including instrumentation, control upgrades, and process modelling.\nAbout you:\nIn addition to a degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering you will also:\nHave at least 8 years demonstrated experience in design, operation and optimisation of plant.\nWater / waste water industry knowledge and experience\nStrong technical report writing and analytical skills\nDemonstrated skills in technical report writing, data analysis\nStakeholder management skills in a team environment working across varying levels.\nDetailed knowledge of product guidelines and quality management systems (Recycled Water, and Drinking Water, Wastewater and/or Resource Recovery)\nExperience with Microsoft Office application and ability to use customized software packages,\nExperience with SCADA is advantageous\nDoes this sound like you?
