Requires manual labor, physical dexterity, and mental stability. Job also requires written and oral communication and the ability to work as a team member. The Production Operator would be part of a self-directed work team, exhibiting a positive attitude and ideas toward making the department safe and profitable and will beresponsible for operating the computer and related systems required along with completing and passing the Essential Function Testing.\nWe count on you for:\nThe job is multifunctional and the incumbent would be trained on all aspects of production and related safety concerns and expected to perform all.\nTroubleshooting equipment; and identifying root causes to take corrective action in order to resolve problems.\nRecognize quality issues and make adjustments to ensure excellent quality.\nPerform general upkeep on equipment to improve reliability and process and product consistency.\nApply knowledge of manufacturing processes to achieve and exceed result targets\nPerform material handling, including properly packaging and labeling of products Tie on or splice ends to repair breaks in creel and throughout the production line\nCleaning and maintaining clean equipment and work area while manufacturing materials\nAccountabilities:\nThe incumbent is accountable for his/her and fellow employees' safety, the quality and quantity of material produced, and the accuracy and neatness of data. High standards are set in these areas, along with housekeeping and personal hygiene.\n All functions for continuous improvements are monitored, and the employee is accountable for this.\nParticipation in meetings such as safety, quality, and production issues is mandatory.\nInteraction:\nCommunication and interaction occur with Production Supervisor, fellow employees (same shift and other shifts), other departments on site (quality, shipping, office, etc.) and visitor/customers. \n\nExperience and Skills\nYou will bring:\nStable work history\nHigh school diploma or GED\n1 year of Manufactoring Experience (Preferred) \nPhysical Requirements include:\nMoving materials with and without material handling devices (normally Pushing and pulling equipment, bending, kneeling, stair climbing, overhead stretching/reaching would all be involved in manufacturing, set-ups and clean-ups.\nCleaning and maintaining clean equipment and work area while manufacturing materials is required.\nDue to lone work and communication needs good eyesight and verbal ability is necessary.\nMust be able to write (print clearly and neatly) and will be required to use a computer to enter and look up data.\nMust be able to perform all functions in hot (up to 95 degrees) and humid environment.\nMust be able to work with glass, silica and carbon fiber, resins (epoxies and phenolics), and comfortably wear proper personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety shoes, coverall suits, respirators, etc.\nMental Abilities include:\nAble to understand directions given verbally or orally. \nDecision making abilities will be needed, with common sense and reasoning directing those decisions. \nCommunication is mandated. \nEmployee must offer and receive information, criticism and data in a positive manner.\nAdditional Information:\nWork overtime as needed\n\nSit or stand for 10 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation\n\nLift up to 50 lbs.\n\nConsistently climb stairs\n\nOperate computer and related systems required\n\nComplete and pass Essential Function Testing\n\nAttendance is important\n\nRespirator fit required\n\nWhat We Offer\nYou can count on us for:\nLong-lasting excellent customer relations, self-dependent working, and a variety of tasks in one of the world’s leading chemical companies.\nExcellent training & development possibilities.\nYou will get:\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nThe U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $26.87 per hour for 2nd shift.
