And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.\nRole and Responsibilities\nWe are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and innovative Senior Scientist to join our Polymer Additives team.\nHands-on technical lead on new NPI (New Product Introduction) product development meeting targeted technical performance\nLead cross-functional project teams to develop and commercialize new NPI products into core and adjacent markets as Project Leader following the stage-gate process\nInvestigate and develop new additive formulations providing leading edge performance\nDevelop and analyze data, drawing sound conclusions and uncovering unexpected performance benefits\nHands-on participation in lab operations including polymer processing, data acquisition, data summary, data analysis, preparation of presentations and reports\nDocument, maintain and update laboratory project database\nIdentify IP potential for new technologies and file patent application as appropriate\nPrepare and present presentation on new products at conferences\nWrite company reports and monthly reports\nDevelop high level of industry knowledge in all core market segments: e.g. building & construction, molding, agriculture, automotive, etc.\nEngage in innovation dialogue with key customers\nMaintain calibration and maintenance schedule for designated PA laboratory equipment\nAdhere to all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and established procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.\nExperience and Skills\nYou will bring:\nMinimum B.S. degree in chemistry, polymer science & engineering, or relevant science or engineering field, advanced degree preferred\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant technical work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical work experience with an advanced degree.\nProven chemistry and application knowledge of most additives used in polymers, especially for light and heat stabilization\nPolymer formulation and polymer processing experience preferred\nPolymer Processing: extrusion, injection molding, rotomolding, etc.\nPolymer Testing: MFI, color, gloss, physical properties, etc.\nTesting Protocols: artificial weathering, thermal aging, etc.\nKnowledge of polyolefin chemistry, production processes, properties, fabrication processes, and their use preferred\nPractical knowledge and experience in intellectual Properties (IP)\nDemonstrated Project Leadership skills in leading cross-functional project teams from product development to commercialization following the stage-gate (NPI) process\nStrong track record of success in developing and launching new products\nUnderstanding of application of AI / Machine Learning tools to new product and process development is a strong plus.\nSkills and competencies:\nProject leadership skills\nOrganic chemistry\nPolymer science and engineering\nData analysis: This role requires special insightful analysis of data\nAnalytical data interpretation: TGA/DSC, SEM, HPLC/GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.\nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nAbility to bring new ideas and concepts to a project\nAbility to engage in innovation dialogues with customers\nWork well in a team setting\nHigh level of creativity and curiosity\nProactive, collaborative, entrepreneurial, dynamic, flexible, and able to multitask\nHighly motivated with self-driven learning capacit\nCustomer focus - dedicated and sensitive to the customer needs\nWhat We Offer\nWe offer the opportunity to join an exciting growth company\nA full range of benefits as expected of a successful company\nOpportunities for growth and learning\nEncouraging a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values and respects individual differences and backgrounds\nLong-lasting excellent customer relations, self-dependent working, and a variety of tasks in one of the world’s leading chemical companies.\nCompetitive salary and benefits\nThe U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $98,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year.
