And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.\nWe are looking for:\nThe Utilities Engineer provides technical leadership for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the Willow Island utility systems. This position is responsible for improving equipment reliability, optimizing utility performance, supporting environmental compliance, and leading process and capital improvements across site utility systems. The role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Engineering to drive continuous improvements in safety, reliability, cost, and operational performance.\nWe count on you for:\nProvide technical ownership and support for all site utility systems, excluding electrical distribution, including wastewater treatment (WWTP) - Ozone Generation/sludge reduction efforts, boilers and steam generation, chiller compressors, equalization/neutralization systems, water treatment and distribution, and nitrogen generation. \nMonitor key process performance indicators, identify process deviations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and performance.\n\nLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, environmental performance, reliability, energy efficiency, productivity, and operating cost.\n\nDevelop, justify, and execute capital improvement projects, including scope development, contractor coordination, commissioning, and startup support.\n\nSupport Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), operating procedure updates, and completion of process safety action items.\n\nEnsure utility operations comply with applicable environmental regulations and permit requirements, including NPDES compliance.\n\nLead or support investigations of safety, environmental, and operational incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\n\nServe as acting Utilities Superintendent during periods of absence.\n\nYou can count on us for:\nWe offer the opportunity to join an exciting growth company\nA full range of benefits as expected of a successful company\nOpportunities for growth and learning\nEncouraging a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values and respects individual differences and backgrounds\nYou will bring:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred; equivalent industrial experience will be considered.\n\n3 or more years of engineering experience supporting utilities, manufacturing, or industrial operations.\n\nExperience with wastewater treatment and utility processes preferred.\n\nKnowledge of PSM, environmental regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.\n\nStrong technical troubleshooting and process engineering skills\n\nCommitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance\n\nRoot cause analysis and data-driven decision making\n\nProject management and continuous improvement experience\n\nEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration\n\nAbility to prioritize and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\n\nYou will get:\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nThe U.S. annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $88,480 to $110,600. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
