We're looking for individuals ready to define the intersection of quantum and AI and drive its profound global impact.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a hands-on research engineer to build, integrate, and operate the experimental systems behind our quantum program. You will work on real hardware: building advanced scientific machines and developing devices across the boundaries between electronics, optics, timing, firmware, and software.\nA Ph.D. is not required; we care about what you have built.\nWhat You'll Work On\nBuild, test, and commission electronic, optical, vacuum, and cryogenic subsystems.\n\nIntegrate lasers, rf and microwave hardware, control electronics, and data acquisition into systems.\n\nDebug failures spanning electronics, optics, timing, firmware, and software.\n\nWrite automation, calibration, and analysis tooling that makes measurements repeatable.\n\nImprove lab infrastructure and procedures so systems stay reliable and usable.\n\nProduce documentation that allows other team members to operate, maintain, and reproduce your work\n\nYou May Be a Good Fit If You Have\nHands-on experience building, aligning, integrating, or repairing real instruments and experimental setups.\n\nPractical depth in one or more of: optics and photonics; electronics; RF, microwave, and controls; embedded or FPGA development; vacuum and cryogenics; scientific software and automation; device fabrication and characterization.\n\nA track record of making something work reliably, and of finding the real cause of a stubborn failure.\n\nPython or similar for instrument control, data acquisition, and analysis. Experience integrating tools across hardware control interfaces and software systems.\n\nA B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
