You willbe responsible forassistingwith system readiness to achieve performance targets as defined by leadership. You will alsobe responsible forutilizingHuman/Machine Interface terminals to effectivelyoperateequipment.\nWhat we do\nTheCell Operatoris part of the Customer Operations organization whichis responsible forleading the day-to-day operations ofSymbotic’srobotic material handling system. The Customer Operations organization drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality,safetyand system performance.\nWhatyou’lldo\nPerform pre-production checks on automated adapters ensuring equipment is in ‘ready to run’ state.\n\nProcess andmonitorthe flow of the automated storage and retrieval system, through means of the adapters, including manual inbound, automatic inbound, automatic outbound, to achievemaximumthroughput and cases per hour.\n\nPrepare pallets for induction into theSymboticstorage and retrieval system.\n\nAssesscauseof system stoppage and return to service using Human/Machine Interface (HMI) and manual intervention.\n\nCommunicate and escalate all issuesimpactingproductionimmediatelyto operational leadership.\n\nContribute tooverall system uptime through system preservation, robot recovery, suspect removal, and bot health actions.\n\nPerform periodic system inspections including cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checking, componentvalidation.\n\nReport all out of spec conditions and perform root cause corrective action andmaintaincontinuous operation of system components.\n\nMonitor andutilizecommon radio etiquette while obtaining instructions from leadership and operational leads.\n\nPerform rover bot upkeep to include, but not limited to, replacing wheels, cleaning, ESD brushes, sensors, etc.\n\nResponsible for automated robotic vehicle recovery in theSymboticMatrix select system to include working in restrictive environments.\n\nOther duties as assigned by leadership.\n\nWhatyou’llneed\nAssociatedegree or equivalent experience or certification in electronics, automotive, automation,manufacturingor equivalent field preferred.\n\nA minimum of 1 year of experience with mechanical automation systems, educational or training equivalent.\n\nBe proficient in performing all System Inspection functionsincludingcleaning, lubrication, tolerance checking, current measurements, and checking electrical systems.\n\nAbility to prioritize work to gainmaximumuptime and throughput from an automated cell.\n\nDemonstrates commitment and ability to work safely.\n\nAbility to work independently of supervisor following procedures and manuals.\n\nAbility tomulti-taskand perform multiple job functions at once.\n\nOurEnvironment\nThere will be steep stairs to climb into the structure.\n\nYou will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.\n\nSubject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.\n\nIf the site location isinconstruction, you willbe requiredto wear proper PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).\n\nFrequent ability tosafely and efficiently lift items weighingup to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.\n\nStand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and isfrequentlyrequiredto walk and reach with hands and arms.\n\nThe employeeis routinely required towork at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\n\nMust be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
