What we need

AsSeniorSupplier Quality Engineer (SQE)you willberesponsible formaking sure that parts, materials, or products provided by suppliers meet quality standards. You will collaborate withsuppliers,external manufacturing partners, quality, engineering to prevent defects, improveprocessesand reduce risk in the supply chain. The ideal candidate willleveragea deep understanding of product applications and environments to strategically apply technical knowledge and methodologiestoreduce defects anddrive quality improvement at suppliers.

What we do

The Quality team ensuresSymboticproducts successfully transition from development into production by partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Test teams. Encompassing product, site, manufacturing, and supplier Quality,theteam focuses on quality planning, defect prevention, and process validation from prototype through production, using product and field data to drive continuous improvement. By embedding strong quality practices early in the product lifecycle, the team helps ensure reliable product launches and consistent system performance.

Whatyou’lldo

• Act as the primary day-to-day quality contact for assigned contract manufacturers (CMs) or suppliers.

• Execute and manage quality activities to ensure manufacturing compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements(e.g.supplier audits).Provide periodicperformance updates through dashboards and KPIs.

• Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify effective root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, and external manufacturing teams toevaluate and qualify new suppliers.

• Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Whatyou’llneed

• Bachelor’sdegree in engineering orrelateddiscipline ispreferred.Related work experience isrequired.

• Minimum of5years ofsupplierquality engineering experiencewithin a regulated manufacturing environmentpreferred.

• Proficient in quality management concepts, tools, and methods (FMEA, DOE, MSA, GRR, 8D, etc.).

• Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP or equivalent part approval processes.

• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and the ability toidentifycritical control points.

• Familiarity with statistical process control software such as SAA, Minitab, and JMP, along with advanced Excel skills for data organization and analysis.

• Strongcommunicative,quantitativeand analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable business decisions.

• CQE and Six Sigma Black Beltcertification preferred(mustdemonstratedeep core knowledge).

• Certified or previously certified ISO 9001 or AS9100 auditor preferred.

Our Environment

• Up to25% of travel,both domestic and international,may berequired. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly tosupplierlocations.

• The employeeis responsible forowning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
