The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex software deployments, supporting large-scale Kubernetes environments, troubleshooting distributed systems, and driving successful production rollouts. This individual will serve as a critical technical leader responsible for deployment execution, operational readiness, platform stability, and production support across multiple environments.\nWhat we do\nOur team is responsible for deploying, operating, and supporting the software systems that power Symbotic's automation platform. We work across development, staging, customer, and production environments to ensure reliable software delivery, operational excellence, and system stability.\nWe partner closely with Robotics, Controls, Infrastructure, QA, and Product teams to support mission-critical systems operating in highly automated warehouse environments.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn end-to-end deployment activities across development, staging, customer, and production environments.\nPlan, coordinate, execute, validate, and support software upgrades, deployments, hotfixes, and rollouts.\nManage and support large-scale Kubernetes environments, including cluster administration, upgrades, scaling, maintenance, and operational health.\nTroubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues, application startup problems, configuration issues, and environment-related defects.\nMonitor deployment health, system stability, and platform performance across all environments.\nDrive continuous improvements in deployment processes, operational standards, reliability, and system availability.\nServe as the technical escalation point for deployment and production issues.\nWhat you’ll need\n4 years of experience supporting software deployments, production environments, or platform operations.\nExperience supporting applications running in containerized environments.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.\nStrong Linux administration experience.\nExperience with Docker and container technologies.\nExperience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.\nBasic scripting experience using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.\nExperience supporting software deployments in production environments.\nStrong English communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.\nAbility to independently troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with warehouse automation, robotics, industrial automation, or distributed systems.\nExposure to large-scale Kubernetes deployments in production environments.\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk.\nFamiliarity with Rancher, OpenShift, or other enterprise Kubernetes platforms.\nExposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience supporting customer-facing deployments and operational environments.\nStrong operational mindset with a focus on reliability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.\nOur Environment\nUp to 10% of travel may be required.
