This individual will coordinate the vendor’s work with the client’s internal business and technical teams, manage project dependencies, and drive execution to meet strict timelines and key delivery milestones.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience managing application releases, holding internal teams and external vendors accountable, identifying unrealistic timelines, and negotiating realistic delivery schedules. They must be comfortable managing complex projects, resolving roadblocks, and keeping all stakeholders aligned and on track to meet critical deadlines.\nCompensation: $140,000-$170,000 annually\nContract: Initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension\nResponsibilities\nOwn the project plan, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies across internal teams and the external development vendor.\nPartner with the vendor's Project Manager and hold the vendor accountable to the statement of work, including scope, milestones, deliverables, and quality.\nIdentify potential delays, unrealistic timelines, and delivery risks early; develop mitigation plans, negotiate realistic commitments, and escalate issues when needed.\nManage scope and change control, evaluating the impact of proposed changes on project timelines, resources, and deliverables.\nCoordinate working sessions, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and demonstrations with the Product Owner, subject-matter experts, and vendor team.\nCoordinate internal stakeholder availability and secure timely decisions, requirements, and approvals to prevent project bottlenecks.\nOversee enterprise system integrations, data migration, validation, and cutover planning in coordination with technical teams and external vendors.\nLead user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, tester availability, defect resolution, and final sign-off.\nPlan deployment and go-live readiness, coordinating production environments, infrastructure dependencies, contingency plans, and transition timelines.\nPrepare and present project status updates to leadership, including progress, risks, schedule changes, and decisions requiring attention.\nCoordinate change management, documentation, and training to support adoption of the new platform.\nRequirements\n 8+ years of experience in application development, software implementation, or technical project management, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.\nProven experience managing enterprise application development, software implementations, and application releases from planning through deployment and go-live.\nExperience overseeing third-party vendors and coordinating internal business and technical teams to meet strict project timelines.\nAbility to identify unrealistic schedules, negotiate achievable deadlines, and proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, requirements gathering, and release management.\nExperience coordinating enterprise system integrations, APIs, data migration, testing, and production deployment.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with experience using project management tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience replacing legacy applications with modern web-based platforms.\nFamiliarity with single sign-on (SSO), role-based access controls, and enterprise application environments.\nPMP certification strongly
