Engineers and Scrum Masters, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.\nOversee delivery timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritisation across multiple engineering initiatives.\nMentor and develop talent through coaching, performance reviews, succession planning and structured feedback.\nDrive architecture reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and maintainable.\nDrive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices such as AI-assisted code generation, testing, documentation and knowledge management.\nContinuously improve engineering processes, tooling and developer experience to increase productivity and reduce technical debt.\nEnforce technology standards, promote reusable platforms and frameworks, and implement robust testing and peer review practices.\nCollaborate with business partners, product managers and designers to ensure a cohesive approach to product development.\nManage and mitigate risks and strengthen controls, governance and operational resilience within the team's remit.\nAdvise senior stakeholders on technical strategy, budgets and cross-functional alignment.\nRequirements\n14 to 25 years of overall experience in software engineering, with significant experience leading engineering teams.\nStrong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.\nExperience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React.\nProven experience with API-led and event-driven architecture.\nExperience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and with DevOps, CI/CD, SRE and observability practices.\nStrong understanding of secure and resilient software engineering practices.\nExperience driving AI-enabled engineering with tools such as Copilot, Claude or enterprise AI platforms.\nDemonstrated ability to build inclusive, collaborative, high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.\nStrong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.\nSkills\nJava, Spring Boot,
