Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex software solutions. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, non-functional, and automation testing. Working within an Agile framework, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business requirements and drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure software functionality and quality compliance.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks to facilitate early defect detection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to support resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Maintain and improve the test suite, ensuring adherence to testing standards and governance.
• Manage risk and strengthen controls in relation to testing activities and operational processes.
• Act as a point of contact for stakeholders and provide guidance to team members on testing best practices.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation roles.
• Strong proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages including Java and Python.
• Solid understanding of API testing, BDD concepts, and the software testing lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration, DevOps practices, and source control tools like Git.
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in the banking or financial services domain.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent professional qualifications are highly desirable.
