platforms, delivering resilient, governed and audit-ready data products\nOwn end-to-end data delivery across ingestion, transformation, quality, lineage and consumption, with accountability for reliability, SLAs and production stability\nOversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritisation to deliver solutions within scope, time and budget\nDrive adoption of standardised engineering practices (SDLC, CI/CD, controls, documentation) across multiple teams and portfolios\nPartner with product, risk, technology control and business stakeholders to shape data strategy and translate business and regulatory outcomes into scalable architectures\nMentor senior engineers, conduct performance reviews and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture\nEnforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews and implement robust testing practices\nLead the engineering and delivery of multiyear platform simplification initiatives, including roadmap and stakeholder management\nRequirements\n15 to 22 years of experience in engineering, with significant leadership of large-scale data engineering initiatives\nHands-on expertise in DBT, Databricks and Airflow\nExperience managing Databricks estates, with specific expertise in Unity Catalog, Delta Lake and Databricks data quality\nExposure to Ab Initio, Oracle and AWS technologies\nUnderstanding of the cards ecosystem\nDeep expertise in Python and SQL, with experience building and governing complex transformation pipelines at scale\nStrong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage and observability, institutionalised as platform capabilities\nExperience defining engineering standards and architectural guardrails across lakehouse or cloud-native data platforms\nProven ability to coach senior engineers and drive engineering excellence in a federated enterprise model\nStrong risk and controls mindset, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders\nSkills\nDBT, Databricks,
