If you’re excited about building the future of brain-computer interfaces and want to work at the intersection of neuroscience, AI, and human experience, we want to hear from you.\nResponsibilities:\nDepending on your background and interests, you may:\nContribute to development of real-time software systems for neural signal processing and data visualization.\nBuild and prototype non-invasive EEG-based BCI hardware, from electrode arrays to embedded microcontroller systems.\nDesign, train, and evaluate machine learning models for EEG/EMG decoding, denoising, and signal enhancement.\nDevelop intuitive interfaces and user experiences for individuals with mobility or communication impairments.\nCollaborate with the design team to prototype wearable and ergonomic form factors for next-generation neurotech devices.\nSupport data collection and analysis in research sessions, assisting with experimental setup and instrumentation.\nParticipate in cross-functional design reviews and brainstorming sessions that bring together neuroscience, AI, and engineering.\nContribute to internal documentation, test plans, and experimental logs for ongoing R&D projects.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Mechanical/Industrial Design, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience with one or more of the following:Software: Python, C++, or JavaScript\nMachine Learning: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX\nHardware: Arduino, PCB design, or embedded systems\nDesign: Figma, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar tools\n\nStrong problem-solving ability and curiosity about neuroscience, AI, or human-machine interfaces.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills; thrives in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.\nAvailability for an internship in New York City.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience with EEG/EMG systems, biosignal acquisition, or data analysis.\nFamiliarity with deep learning for time-series or multimodal data.\nExperience designing assistive devices, wearables, or medical technology.\nPortfolio, GitHub, or research projects demonstrating creative technical work.\nInterest in startups, prototyping, and early-stage innovation.\nAbout our Culture:\nAt Synaptrix Labs, we celebrate curiosity, open collaboration, and scientific rigor.
