He/She assists with the installation, monitoring, troubleshooting and testing of network systems and solutions. Monitors and configures network components to ensure security, and resolves network incidents. Ensuring that network activities are documented appropriately and in compliance with the required procedures and standards. Familiar with core networking technologies and trends, network standards and network routing protocols. May be required to work on a rotational on-call or shift basis. The Associate Network Engineer is a motivated team player and is driven by results. He/She also possesses analytical skills and works well in a fast-paced environment.\nRole & Responsibilities\nProject Management\nLead end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure and transformation projects, from initiation, planning, design, implementation, testing, and operational handover.\nManage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.\nDrive network modernization initiatives such as LAN/WAN refresh, SD-WAN deployment, wireless upgrades, data center migration, and cloud connectivity.\nManage vendor procurement, contract negotiations, project governance, and stakeholder communications.\nOversee testing, migration, cutover, and post-implementation support to minimize business disruption\nOperation support (secondary function)\nConfigure & Administer Networks\nUpdate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network communication systems\nDetermine impact of network requirements on existing architecture, work processes and systems\nDraft technical documents for processes, technology and devices\nAssist in determining infrastructure systems specifications, input/output (I/O) processes and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility\nConfigure, test, automate, integrate, model and analyse the Software Defined Network (SDN) infrastructure within the IT ecosystem\nProvide suggestions on the direction for Local Area Network (LAN) and/or Wide Area Network (WAN), internet, wireless and remote access services\nParticipate in technical design reviews of applicable solutions\nOptimise Network Utilisation & Performance\nConsolidate network data based on key parameters or metrics\nAssist in the development of capacity planning models, load-balance and/or redundancy solutions\nAdminister tuning of networks for optimisation\nReview facility bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependencies\nDocument network activities in accordance with organisational policies\nMonitor network activity and log technical issues\nMaintain awareness of emerging software and/or hardware solutions\nSupport Network Operations\nConduct regular maintenance, patches and upgrades to the network\nPrepare technical specifications and documents to procure network equipment\nPerform routine backups and administer disaster recovery protocols\nAssist in the development of disaster recovery plans\nManage Network Security\nMonitor indicators of compromise or breach in network security\nTrack and document network security incidents\nConfigure network security across software and/or hardware components\nCoordinate and configure network access and controls\nResolve Network Incidents\nClassify and prioritise network incidents for troubleshooting\nDocument network incidents and resolution methods\nTroubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issues\nRequirements\nBachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent\nMinimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network operation support and network project management\nMinimum CCNA certified\nCCNP certification preferred;
