This individual will collaborate with the Synchrony Executive Leadership Team, the CEO of the Digital platform, individual platform business leaders and other senior GM and functional stakeholders to identify and assess growth opportunities. They will also assist in tackling some of the biggest strategic questions facing the firm, the business platforms and the industry.\nSynchrony is a premier financial services and technology company focusing on providing wing-to-wing credit solutions to our business partners and the end consumer. It is the largest underwriter of Private Label Credit Cards in the United States.\nThis role reports to the SVP of Platform Strategy and Networks and will focus on both the broader annual strategic planning process as well as growth initiatives for the Digital platform.\nRELOCATION ASSISTANCE: YES\nEssential Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with the Synchrony Executive Leadership Team, Digital CEO and business leaders to identify and assess growth and new business opportunities to accelerate growth for the platforms \nDrive the vision of the competitive landscape and trends on Digital with recommended strategies across large integrated partners and a fragmented digital partner base as well as across multiple products \nEnsure the annual Digital strategic plans align with the long-term strategy for the broader organization \nWork with the Digital senior leadership team to translate strategies into targeted actions and programs that result in growth \nPartner with M&A, Ventures and other stakeholders to define and execute an aligned acquisition / partnership strategy \nLead and deliver other key projects as requested \nPerform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.\nQualifications/Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in management consulting and/or financial services/payments/consumer finance space; or in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 13+ years of experience in management consulting and/or financial services/payments/consumer finance space\n5 years of experience in driving strategy around business growth including new lines of product, business offerings / new business opportunities. Accelerating growth within new lines of business.\nMinimum of 5 years of relationship management and leadership experience, including working with cross-functional business partners and senior leadership \nMinimum 3+ years of direct team leadership experience \nExperience leveraging strong quantitative skills and creating data-driven recommendations \nProficient in the use of MS Office product suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint \nWillingness to travel up to 20% \nAbility and flexibility to travel for business as required\nDesired Characteristics:\nBachelor's Degree, MBA preferred.f\nStrategy consulting work experience with at least 5 years at a leading management consulting firm or as part of an in house strategy team \nExperience in Financial Services, specifically consumer financing / loans / credit cards, is preferred but not required \nExcellent influencing skills and ability to drive change \nDemonstrated leadership ability including effective team management and experience “managing up” \nFlexible, collaborative approach and positive attitude \nEntrepreneurial mindset and willingness to voice unpopular opinions if they are the right approach for the business \nProject management skills with ability to manage multiple programs through a team-based approach in a fast-paced environment \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional presentation skills and high emotional intelligence \nExperience working with and presenting to senior executives across the organization \nGrade/Level: 15\nThe salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 25% of salary.\nActual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.\nSalaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.\nOur Way of Working:\nWe’re proud to offer you flexibility.
