Our unique company culture has been appreciated by our Employees.\nWith this we are winning the hearts and minds of world-leading organizations, such as JCB, Kubota, Electrolux, Toyota, Renault and Hitachi.\nAbout the role\nAs a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting activities, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Syncron's entities while collaborating with Finance colleagues and stakeholders across the global organisation.\nYou will take ownership of accounting processes, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close activities, and help ensure compliance with Swedish and UK accounting and tax requirements.\nThe role will suit someone who is comfortable working independently, has strong attention to detail and enjoys identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.\nWhat would you do?\nManage day-to-day accounting activities for the Swedish, UK and other Syncron entities within scope, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations.\n\nPrepare and post accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.\n\nPerform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.\n\nCoordinate cooperation with external accounting offices and other external service providers.\n\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.\n\nPrepare additional statutory and regulatory reports, including reports for local authorities.\n\nSupport accounts payable activities, including invoice processing and payment-related activities.\n\nPrepare and review complex tax-related data and support tax compliance processes in cooperation with external tax advisors, across different jurisdictions.\n\nReview and approve fixed asset accounting entries and ensure proper classification and documentation.\n\nWho you are? / What we expect:\n5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within an international organisation or shared services environment.\n\nKnowledge of VAT regulations.\n\nPractical experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.\n\nStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nExperience with intercompany accounting and transactions.\n\nExperience working with external auditors and/or accounting advisors.\n\nStrong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.\n\nExperience working with an ERP/accounting system; experience with SAP, NetSuite or similar systems would be advantageous.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\n\nAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively with an international Finance team.\n\nGood written and spoken English is essential.\n\nThe icing on the cake:\nExperience working within a SaaS, software or technology company.\n\nExperience supporting accounting across multiple international entities.\n\nExperience with finance process automation or ERP implementations.\n\nFamiliarity with IFRS\n\nExperience working with a Finance team operating across different countries and time zones.\n\nWe offer:\nEnvironment facilitating professional growth\n\nRespectful and friendly work environment\n\nInternal training sessions, external conferences and training options\n\nFree English & Swedish classes\n\nFringe benefits (private medical care, multisport card, life insurance)\n\nFlexible model of work, working hours and no micromanagement\n\nWe do respect one another, and we do enjoy working together - we play pool and board games (mostly online these days), organize charity activities - to name just a few\n\nUnsure if you meet all the job requirements but passionate about the role?
