The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing network connectivity across cloud and on-premises environments. This role requires strong expertise in AWS cloud networking and Cisco network engineering, along with hands-on experience in cloud-to-cloud connectivity, hybrid networking, application network integration, troubleshooting, network change management, monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.\nAdditional Information*\nThe base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).\nThe Role\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, deploy, configure, and support AWS network infrastructure across production and non-production environments.\nEstablish and maintain secure connectivity between:\nAWS accounts and VPCs\nAWS and other cloud platforms\nAWS and on-premises data centers\nAWS and enterprise application environments\nConfigure and manage AWS networking services, including:\nAmazon VPCs\nSubnets and route tables\nInternet gateways and NAT gateways\nVPC peering and AWS Transit Gateway\nAWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPN\nNetwork Load Balancers and Application Load Balancers\nRoute 53 and DNS services\nSecurity Groups and Network ACLs\nVPC endpoints and AWS PrivateLink\nSupport application teams with network integration, connectivity requirements, traffic flows, routing, DNS, and security configurations.\nDesign, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.\nManage hybrid connectivity using technologies such as BGP, IPsec VPN, VLANs, routing protocols, and WAN technologies.\nMonitor network infrastructure and proactively identify performance, availability, capacity, and security issues.\nInvestigate and resolve complex network connectivity, routing, latency, packet loss, and application access issues.\nParticipate in incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management, and service restoration activities.\nPlan, coordinate, and implement network changes in accordance with established change management processes.\nAssess the impact and risk of proposed network changes and prepare implementation and rollback plans.\nMaintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\nPerform network performance tuning and capacity planning.\nCollaborate with cloud architects, security teams, application teams, DevOps engineers, and data center operations teams.\nSupport infrastructure automation and standardization using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.\nEnsure AWS network infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, availability, and operational standards.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and provide operational support for critical systems.\nRequirements:\n7-10 years of experience in AWS cloud networking and network operations.\nStrong hands-on experience deploying and operating AWS network infrastructure.\nProven experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises network environments.\nStrong Cisco networking experience, including routing, switching, WAN, VPN, and network troubleshooting.\nSolid understanding of:\nTCP/IP, the OSI model, subnetting, CIDR, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and IP addressing\nBGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols\nHigh availability and network redundancy\nFirewalls, proxies, load balancing, and network security principles\nNetwork monitoring, logging, and performance management\nExperience with AWS connectivity services, including Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Transit Gateway, and VPC peering.\nExperience troubleshooting connectivity between AWS, on-premises data centers, and enterprise applications.\nProficiency with network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, traceroute, ping, nslookup/dig, and VPC Flow Logs.\nExperience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.\nStrong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment.\nCisco certification, such as CCNP or CCDE.\nAWS certification, such as:\nAWS Certified Advanced Networking -
