The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing workspaces, releases, pipelines, ALM Octane APIs, Jira integrations, and legacy ALM migrations. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, product, and project management teams to establish scalable application lifecycle management processes, improve release visibility, and support integration across development and delivery tools.\nAdditional Information*\nThe base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below)\nThe Role\nResponsibilities:\nAdminister and configure OpenText ALM Octane environments, workspaces, teams, users, roles, permissions, and shared settings.\nDesign and maintain workspace structures, products, teams, custom fields, workflows, rules, layouts, and business processes.\nConfigure and manage: Releases and milestones, Backlogs and requirements, Epics, features, and user stories, Quality and testing workflows, Defects and defect lifecycles, Risks, dependencies, and dashboards\nEstablish and maintain release-management processes within Octane.\nConfigure and support Octane pipelines, deployment automation, quality gates, and integration with CI/CD tools.\nDevelop and maintain integrations using ALM Octane REST APIs.\nCreate API-based automation for data synchronization, reporting, administration, and bulk updates.\nIntegrate OpenText ALM Octane with Jira and support Octane-Jira synchronization for requirements, defects, work items, statuses, comments, and attachments.\nMonitor synchronization jobs, troubleshoot integration failures, and resolve data-mapping and connectivity issues.\nPlan and execute migration of legacy Micro Focus/HP ALM or Quality Center data to OpenText ALM Octane.\nAssess legacy ALM data structures, workflows, fields, users, projects, test assets, and historical records.\nDevelop migration mappings, transformation rules, validation procedures, and reconciliation reports.\nSupport data cleansing, duplicate resolution, archival decisions, and post-migration verification.\nDefine and enforce governance standards for workspace configuration, naming conventions, workflows, permissions, and data quality.\nCreate dashboards, reports, queries, and metrics to support project, quality, release, and executive reporting.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting for Octane users and integrated systems.\nCoordinate with OpenText support and internal infrastructure teams when resolving platform or integration issues.\nDevelop administration guides, integration documentation, migration runbooks, and user procedures.\nSupport platform upgrades, patches, configuration changes, backup procedures, and environment refreshes.\nTrain users and administrators on OpenText ALM Octane capabilities and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with security, audit, access-control, and change-management requirements.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nExperience in application lifecycle management, quality engineering platforms, DevOps tooling, or enterprise application administration.\nStrong hands-on experience with OpenText ALM Octane administration and configuration.\nExperience managing Octane workspaces, users, teams, roles, permissions, workflows, custom fields, and shared settings.\nExperience configuring releases, milestones, pipelines, backlogs, defects, tests, and quality processes.\nStrong knowledge of ALM Octane REST APIs and API authentication methods.\nExperience developing scripts or automation using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar technologies.\nHands-on experience integrating Octane with Jira or other enterprise work-management platforms.\nExperience with data mapping, synchronization rules, integration monitoring, and error handling.\nExperience migrating data from legacy ALM/Quality Center environments to OpenText ALM Octane.\nStrong understanding of software development, testing, defect management, and release-management processes.\nExperience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\nPreferred, but not required:\nExperience integrating Octane with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Harness.\nFamiliarity with OpenText ALM Octane pipeline configuration and deployment integrations.\nExperience with Octane event handlers, webhooks, integration services, or middleware platforms.\nKnowledge of SQL and database querying for data validation, reporting, and migration analysis.\nExperience with enterprise integration tools such as MuleSoft,
