With top clients to boast about, Synechron has a global workforce of 17,000+, and has 58 offices in 22 countries within key global markets.\nOur challenge\nWe are seeking an OpenShift & MCP Platform Engineer to support application teams in deploying and managing applications on OpenShift and Model Context Protocol (MCP) infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role embedded within the development team, focused on platform enablement, application onboarding, CI/CD configuration, and developer productivity rather than traditional DevOps operations.\nAdditional Information*\nThe base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).\nThe Role\nResponsibilities:\nConfigure and manage application deployments on OpenShift.\nCreate and maintain YAML configurations, deployment manifests, and application templates.\nSupport application onboarding to CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks.\nSet up and manage MCP infrastructure and connectivity for AI-enabled applications.\nCollaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment, configuration, and integration issues.\nManage application configuration, secrets, routes, services, and container deployments.\nAssist with environment setup, release deployments, and platform automation.\nEnsure applications comply with enterprise security and platform standards.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in application deployment, platform support, or DevOps engineering.\nHands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes container platforms.\nStrong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift concepts.\nExperience creating and managing YAML configuration files, deployment manifests, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, and Routes.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and deployment automation frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.\nExperience supporting application onboarding, release management, and deployment processes across multiple environments.\nKnowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) infrastructure and connectivity for AI-enabled applications is preferred.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve deployment, configuration, and integration issues.\nUnderstanding of networking, load balancing, container security, and enterprise platform standards.\nExperience with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with enterprise security practices, access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, and support teams.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nPreferred, but not required:\nRed Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Cloud Platform certifications.\nExperience with AI/ML application deployment and platform integration.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nKnowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace.\nWe offer:\nA highly competitive compensation and benefits package.\nA multinational organization with 58 offices in 22 countries and the possibility to work abroad.\n10 days of paid annual leave (plus sick leave and national holidays).\nMaternity & paternity leave plans.\nA comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-/short-term disability (plans vary by region).\nRetirement savings plans.\nA higher education certification policy.\nCommuter benefits (varies by region).\nExtensive training opportunities, focused on skills, substantive knowledge, and personal development.\nOn-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated courses.\nCoaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groups.\nCutting edge projects at the world’s leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firms.\nA flat and approachable organization.\nA truly diverse, fun-loving, and global work culture.\n\nS YNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT\nDiversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
