The candidate will provide research analysis and technical domain engineering support in M&QE for a classified at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. Location: On-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD and 30% travel to Industry sites. This work is not eligible for teleworking.\nSalary Range: $130k - $140k\nResponsibilities:\nProvide support for Production & Quality of an early development classified program. \nExamine suppliers and perform facilities evaluations assessing contractor design, development and manufacturing/quality planning activities, ensuring that production and producibility considerations are being appropriately integrated into the systems engineering process.\nConduct quality research and data analysis to provide support in the establishment of M&QE requirements and management of M&QE efforts through all acquisition phases, including capacity analysis to examine for scalability.\nEvaluate design producibility, manufacturing planning and proposed or actual production/quality processes considering program affordability needs and with respect to established schedules and production plans.\nPrepare technical risk assessments for decision meetings and related briefings.\nSupport the M&QE Division and IPT in planning and leading design, manufacturing and quality risk reduction efforts, producibility assessments and Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs).\nProvide technical support for producibility and manufacturing discussions in design reviews and program/technical meetings and provide design and process oriented technical inputs.\nIdentify the causes of potential or actual manufacturing, producibility, or quality problems and recommend solutions to M&QE and IPT management via briefing or written correspondence.\nSupport the M&QE lead during the conduct of Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs), Quality System Evaluations (QSEs), Engineering Investigations (EIs), and other M&QE reviews. Support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) events.\nConduct quality research and data analysis to assist M&QE Division leadership in improving M&QE products and capabilities so that they optimally support programs and fleet readiness.\nRequirements:\nActive DoD TOP SECRET security clearance (SCI eligible)\nMust be a US Citizen\nTechnical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university\nAt least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description is required.\nIndustrial Engineering background is desired\nManufacturing & Quality Engineering skills highly desired\nStrong interpersonal and written/oral communications skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams and proficient in the MS Office 365 suite\nWhat Your Experience Working for Us Will Be Like\nAsk any of our employees and they will tell you SSI is a great place to work with an upbeat and positive culture.
