This is not a pre-sales or Sales Engineer role. Success is measured by delivery quality, utilization, and client outcomes-not by sales support, revenue targets, or deal closure.\nThis is a hands-on professional services position that requires deep technical expertise, strong ownership, and the ability to lead customers through complex implementations from design through production support. Ideal candidates thrive in real-world engineering scenarios where architectures must be built, integrated, tested, and supported in production environments.\nThis role works closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and sales stakeholders, consistently representing SynerComm’s brand through professionalism, technical excellence, and a solution-oriented mindset.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nService Delivery & Technical Execution\nDeliver professional services for the design, development, implementation, and support of full-stack network and security solutions.\nProvide scheduled and ad hoc operational support to customers across a wide range of networking and security technologies.\nParticipate as an individual contributor and as part of project teams on complex customer engagements.\nDevelop clear, effective technical documentation and present solutions to customer technical audiences.\nCustomer Engagement & Collaboration\nWork directly with customers at all organizational levels, in person and remotely, using a variety of communication tools and methods.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer challenges into practical, scalable solutions.\nConsistently deliver a high-quality customer experience aligned with SynerComm’s brand and values.\nPre-Sales & Solution Development\nSupport sales and pre-sales efforts through technical discussions, labs, proofs of concept (POCs), and recommended architectures.\nEngage customers in technical discovery, solution scoping, and validation of requirements.\nAssist with market development events and customer-facing technical presentations as needed.\nContinuous Development\nObtain and maintain associate-, professional-, and expert-level technical certifications relevant to SynerComm’s portfolio.\nBuild, maintain, and enhance physical and virtual demonstration labs for networking and security solutions.\nActively pursue ongoing technical, product, and professional development to stay current with evolving technologies.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience, as determined by SynerComm.\n7+ years of experience in service provider, VAR, MSP, or large enterprise IT environments.\n5+ years of hands-on experience with network security and security control solutions.\nStrong experience delivering professional services in enterprise network and security environments.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.\nTechnical Experience & Skills\nNetwork infrastructure expertise including routing, switching, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.\nExperience with security frameworks and programs such as CIS Controls, NIST 800-53, or similar standards.\nHands-on experience implementing and supporting security controls across network, endpoint, identity, email, and data domains.\nExperience with identity and access management technologies including Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML, and related platforms.\nExperience implementing, managing, or supporting cloud services in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.\nExperience with DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and general network operations.\nFamiliarity with scripting or automation for deployment, monitoring, or operational efficiency.\nExperience with incident response, threat hunting, or security operations is a plus.\nPreferred Qualifications\nIndustry-recognized network and security certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Juniper, HPE, or equivalent).\nExperience serving as a lead technical contributor or technical project lead on customer engagements.\nDemonstrated history of self-driven learning, problem-solving, and full lifecycle ownership of technical solutions.\nAbility to translate technical features into clear business value
