Full - Stack Engineer

We're looking for a senior engineer who can take a system from whiteboard to production. That means designing the GraphQL schema, setting up the event-driven backend on AWS, codifying the infrastructure in Terraform, and shipping polished experiences on React and React Native. This is a senior role with real architectural ownership. You'll set technical direction, make the key design calls and raise the bar for the engineers around you.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture and technical leadership: lead system design for major features and services. Write design docs, weigh trade-offs, and own decisions on scalability, reliability and cost.
• End-to-end delivery: architect, build and ship full-stack features across React.js/React Native frontends and Node.js/TypeScript backends.
• API design: design and evolve REST and GraphQL APIs, including schema design, resolver patterns, query performance, versioning and third-party integrations.
• Serverless on AWS: design event-driven systems on AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS and SES, covering async workflows, NoSQL data modelling, idempotency and failure handling.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: own cloud infrastructure with Terraform so that environments are reproducible, version-controlled and auditable.
• CI/CD and engineering velocity: improve build-test-deploy pipelines, automated testing and release practices so the team ships quickly and safely.
• Mentorship and standards: coach mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing, and help define engineering best practices across the team.
• Cross-functional partnership: work with product and design to turn complex domain requirements into clean, usable software.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a record of owning and shipping production systems at scale.
• Expert-level Node.js, TypeScript and React (web or native).
• Proven experience designing AWS serverless architectures from scratch, including event-driven patterns, async messaging and DynamoDB data modelling.
• Deep knowledge of GraphQL API design: schema design, query optimisation, caching and integrations.
• Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems, including service boundaries, resilience and observability.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or another IaC tool.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers.
• Clear written and verbal communication. In a remote-first team, design docs and async updates count as much as code.
