Syngenta is a global agricultural technology and agribusiness enterprise headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. Formed in 2000 through the merger of Novartis Agribusiness and AstraZeneca Agrochemicals, it now operates under the broader Syngenta Group as a subsidiary of Sinochem.

Syngenta Seeds is one of the world’s largest developers and producers of seed for farmers, commercial growers, retailers and small seed companies. Syngenta seeds improve the quality and yields of crops. High-quality seeds ensure better and more productive crops, which is why farmers invest in them. Advanced seeds help mitigate risks such as disease and drought and allow farmers to grow food using less land, less water and fewer inputs. Syngenta Seeds brings farmers more vigorous, stronger, resistant plants, including innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive even in challenging growing conditions. Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.

At Syngenta, we believe every employee plays an important role in safely feeding the world while taking care of our planet. We are seeking an Account Development Lead to help drive the growth and strength of the Golden Harvest dealer network across North Dakota and South Dakota.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on influence, strategy, and execution. You will serve as a key leader across the district, partnering closely with Golden Harvest Seed Sales Representatives, sales leadership, and cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, strengthen our dealer network, and create consistent best practices for recruiting, launching, and developing new Seed Advisors.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead dealer network growth by identifying, recruiting, and developing new points of sale into trusted Golden Harvest advisors and advocates.
  • Drive recruiting strategy across the district, partnering with Seed Sales Representatives to maintain a consistent, year-round focus on building the dealer network.
  • Influence and align cross-functional teams around recruiting priorities, growth opportunities, and annual targets.
  • Lead best practices for launching new businesses, helping new Seed Advisors establish a strong foundation for long-term success.
  • Shape the onboarding experience by driving consistency, coordinating resources, and supporting training efforts for new Seed Advisors.
  • Partner with the Account Development team and District Manager to establish recruiting priorities and targets aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve annual recruiting and retention goals.
  • Serve as a key connector across Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance to support contract management and remove barriers to successful onboarding.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Seed Advisor recruiting and onboarding process by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales, account development, or relevant commercial experience, preferably within agriculture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive results across teams without direct reporting relationships.
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and business partners.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to think strategically, identify growth opportunities, and translate strategy into action.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to align stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Knowledge of Syngenta products, the seed industry, and Go-To-Market strategies is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What We Offer:

  • A culture that celebrates diversity & inclusion, promotes professional development, and strives for a work-life balance that supports the team members. Offers flexible work options to support your work and personal needs.
  • Full Benefit Package (Medical, Dental & Vision) that starts your first day.
  • 401k plan with company match, Profit Sharing & Retirement Savings Contribution.
  • Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Maternity and Paternity Leave, Education Assistance, Wellness Programs, Corporate Discounts, among other benefits.
